I've always had an affinity for tech as long as I can remember. When COVID hit in 2020, I stumbled across Baofeng radios, which led me into learning about radio communications in general and eventually sent me down the ham radio path. After being licensed for over 5 years, I've learned a lot about radio theory, operation, and anything else radio-adjacent.
What started as curiosity about cheap handheld radios evolved into exploring weak signal HF digital modes, mesh networking, and the intersection of radio and modern software. I've spent time working on projects like building custom UIs for amateur radio applications, creating bridges between legacy protocols and encrypted mesh networks like Reticulum, and experimenting with multi-band communication systems that span HF, VHF/UHF, and LoRa. The goal has always been making resilient, off-grid communication more accessible.
Fast forward to 2025, and I stumbled into the world of selfhosting and networking. I've really tried to focus on being as self-sustaining as possible from a tech standpoint: running my own infrastructure, protecting my own data, and reducing dependence on services that could disappear or change terms overnight. The new world we live in is a dangerous one in which your data can be one of the most valuable assets you have, and it's well worth protecting where possible.
After the AI agent boom and CLI tools became more powerful and capable, it's really been a life-changing experience. You can now create things you never thought possible, and in some regards can have your vision become a reality in remarkable ways. I've leaned heavily into this new paradigm for building software and solving problems.
This site is where I catalog what I'm working on. Take a look around.
